Torvajanica is one of the most famous and popular turist resorts on the Latium cost.

Small town with about 15.000 inhabitants, Torvajanica is a fraction of the town Pomezia, near Rome.

Its origin are very old, as evidenced by the recent discovery of the remains of a Roman residence.

The name comes from the Tower of Vajanico, a sixteenth-century contruction built to defend people against attacks by Saracens.

The Torvajanica beach, very popular during the summer season, is one of the most fascinating places in the area: the sand dunes, the Mediterranean vegetation and crystal clear sea are just some of the attractions not to be missed.

In the splendid seabed, you can see some shipwreaks, including the Banffshire, an English merchant ship sunk in 1917.
